Day 1

Did a recce of a tetrad I've been asked to cover by the RSPB for the Willow Tit survey, at Tynygraig (between Ystrad meurig and Trawsgoed). A pair were present (along the old railway line) with a chance of one or two more when it comes to doing the survey itself. On the way home; 199 Wigeon on Maes Llyn pool and 3 Goosanders, just 3 Little Grebes on Pant pool and a couple more Goosanders at Pont Gogoyan. Couldn't see or hear any Wigeon at the latter site, not for the first time this winter.
