New Quay

Great crested grebe off Quarry Head yesterday morning. I walked passed Bird’s Rock  and there were many more guillemots on the breeding ledges compared with yesterday. They were very vocal.
Back at home I noticed something flitting about on the roof next door and managed to get a few shots (unfortunately against the light). Interestingly over the years I’ve had several sightings of black redstarts around my property and next door.
