A walk around Ynyslas this morning produced a few records of interest. Most
pleasing were two or three bottlenose dolphin about a mile or so offshore
heading north to join a flock of around a dozen gannets feeding at the Dyfi
Estuary mouth. A few cormorants and gull spp were in the estuary with a lone
little egret wandering the saltmarsh. Along the track by the boatyard were two
families of linnet with very noisy young.
All the car parks in the Ynyslas area remain closed and blocked off. So
it's a long walk to get anywhere down there unless anyone wants to risk parking
at roadside.
