Wherefore art thou, egrets?

A Black Redstart in Aberystwyth harbour this morning, on the rocks below the flats, before heading over the yachts towards the town. In a scene almost worthy of Shakespeare, John appeared on his balcony to hear my tidings.

Having missed the Capel Bangor egrets yesterday (but a House Martin there), I thought it worth checking the cow field at Tan-y-Bwlch. The only white things I could see were a White Wagtail and the rump of a Wheatear.

On the way back along the sea front, a Merlin south off castle point.
