There were five Purple Sandpipers in the high-tide roost on the wall this morning; the most I've seen there this winter so far. Otherwise just 37 Turnstones. Lots of gulls close inshore South Bay, but they were nearly all Black-headed and Common, with a few Herring and a Great Black-back. Always worth ;looking out for a Little G at this time of year when there is an onshore wind.
