GOOSANDERS and KESTRELS

A nice walk between Dolybont and Borth yesterday, there were 5 male goosander on the Leri, just downstream of the Glanlerry Caravan Park. We usually see one or two or maybe three in early spring, but never 5 adults before. Also a handsome male kestrel, hunting not far from the railway station. A kestrel pair bred in the area last summer, we've seen more kestrels about this winter than in previous years.
