Llanrhystud beach

There were two Med gulls in summer plumage with a large flock of black-headed gulls in one of the muddy fields this morning.

On Monday I walked round the point towards Llansantffraed and counted 350 Golden plover on the shore (there were probably more hidden behind the rocks), plus 8 grey plover, around 50 curlew and a handful of redshank. Also two separate groups of wigeon off-shore (approx 20 individuals in each group) and a red-throated diver.
