This afternoon a Snipe dropped into our back garden - a new one for the garden list. After probing at our frozen lawn and veg bed for a couple of minutes it flew off over the neighbouring gardens. I guess soft ground for snipe and woodcock is at a premium till it thaws tomorrow!
More than 30 House Sparrows feeding in the garden today - highest number this winter.
