What a beautiful day it was today. Song Thrushes and Chaffinches in full song and the most birdie walk of this year along the lane from my house. I was hoping the Hen Harrier had drifted South but no such luck. Still I was very pleased to see 29 species in just over two hours. Pick of the tally were a Peregrine chasing the Fieldfares, one of the two Kestrels that have been hanging around all winter, a Reed Bunting male in developing summer plumage and a pair of Stonechats.
