Dyfi pill box

I started yesterday (Sunday) morning by walking out to the pill box (although I was told that access will soon be restricted): the flock of Pink-footed Geese on the field by the railway was down to 42, but was joined by a White-front which soon headed up the estuary. There were also 5 Greylags in the ditch, joined by another pink-foot. On the other side of the bank, 5 pale-bellied Brents on the estuary added to the goose fest.

Also of note was a Great Egret, a very vocal Cetti's warbler, and 5 Red-breasted Mergs. I counted 45 pintail, but very few waders about - presumably they were further upstream - a grey plover and greenshank the highlights.

From the Cors Fochno boardwalk a Kestrel, and then a Green Sandpiper at the Clettwr as the rain came in.
