Llyn Mynydd Gorddu was full of interest today. An accurate count of the wigeon gave 36; there were various mallard, at least one pair of teal, a noisy pair of little grebes, a coot, moorhens, 12 canada geese and five tufties (3m, 2f).
Also a pair of grey heron. Although one was still in first year plumage
they were perching in a tree where there was also the beginnings of a
nest.
