A chance at last to visit the usual winter roost of a small number of Purple Sandpipers at Gwbert.
Two were on the rocks below the golf course beyond The Cliff Hotel. They are often quite difficult to spot being so well camouflaged but using a Thermal Image camera today it was possible to see that the count of two was correct.
There were at least 6 Wheatear and a Red-throated Diver flew across the bay.
Yesterday at Mwnt, highlights were 1 Wheatear and a Red-throated Diver close in.
