Today got of to a good start first thing with the first Chiffchaff singing in the garden this year, six days later than in 2020.
A mid morning walk along the river Aeron downstream from Talsarn produced 29 species with the best birds being at least two Dippers, two Kingfishers chasing each other, a singing Willow Warbler, two singing Blackcaps (only one seen), and two Stock Doves, all new for me this year. A pair of Stonechats, the male with a beak full of horse hair, several singing Chiffchaff and a flyover Sparrowhawk.
