Bob, John and I met up at Ynys-hir this fine sunny morning. After we had enjoyed a Pied Flycatcher John had to leave and Bob and I continued to Ynys Edwin, where apart from a couple more Pied Flys a Cetti's Warbler was singing near the railway and then the highlight: an Osprey flying high up the estuary which suddenly plummeted down into the river before continuing upstream.
Earlier, a quick look at Borth revealed five Red-throated Divers on the sea and another six flying north, and a few Sandwich Terns.
