MANXIES and MEDS

I went to Borth early this morning to watch the gathering of Manx Shearwaters. There must have been up to 2000, so not mega spectacular but still great to see them so close in and with several Gannets for company. Back in Aber and all day there was a gathering of Mediteranean Gulls at the Tanybwlch end of the harbour, peaking at 96 this evening just as the tide was rising over the rocks. I saw 5 with colour rings and was able to read 4 of them. When I get the ringing details I will put a summery on the blog.
