Aberporth and Teifi

Short seawatch on Saturday morning produced 3 skuas harrying kittiwakes and a few gannets way offshore.  The skuas were making short raids from their resting place on the water but for one persisting in a spectacular aerial chase which, surprisingly, it lost!

On the rocks was a small group of Black headed and Med gulls with some juv Herring gulls peeping away as babies do. No rings.

The Teifi on Monday was very busy and noisy so birds were hiding on the Cere side of the big mud/sand bank opposite the limekilns: 50 Curlew plus those I couldn't see, a few Bar -tailed Godwit and a lone Greenshank were the highlights. 19 Mute Swan adults had assembled in a flotilla. It seems madness to allow jetskis and speedboats in such a limited water area given anything other than high spring tides.
