A good passage of Gannets and auks off castle point, Aberystwyth, this morning, many of the gannets quite close. A few Med Gulls moved south, and several congregated with the BHGs off Tanybwlch. When I got closer I realized that there was a 2nd winter Little Gull amongst the flock feeding in the surf.
I must have just missed Harry at Ynyslas yesterday. To add to his list: a lone golden plover by the tern posts, with 50+ circling high overhead, a greenshank, several more snipe and a merlin.
From the Glandyfi layby yesterday, two vocal green sandpipers, a good flock of thrushes in the yews across the road, mostly Mistle, and an otter in the river.
