Common Scoter New Quay

Sifted through the gull flocks, late yesterday afternoon, for Martin's Iceland Gull. No joy. But a good number of Kittiwakes amongst the Herring and Black-headed Gulls. With small numbers of Med and Common Gull there also. And a Shag attracted in by the melée.

Otherwise, a female Common Scoter was diving mid-way out from the harbour wall to the fish factory.

Phil Baber and Pam Buckle.
