After finding nothing on the coast, Chris Bird went up to Nanteos this afternoon, where he was surprised to find a male Shoveler. Chris thinks Shovelers have been very scarce this year, and I agree.
A good variety of other wildfowl on the lake included the long-staying male Gadwall, two Wigeon, six Teal, 10 Mallard, two Mute Swans, six Little Grebes and at least 10 Moorhens.
