Teifi wader flock

This afternoon a large ( for these days) flock of Lapwing and smaller group of Golden Plover were feeding on the Cere side of the Teifi estuary opposite the Dogmaels pontoon. With them was one Bar tailed Godwit and a Grey Plover. In the middle of my count some yob in a kit car broke the sound barrier and they were off thereafter to split into smaller groupings spread across the numerous sandbanks.

I think Wendy had 500 lapwing last week.

On Monday under the Cardigan road bridge there was a male Goldeneye and Goosander fishing together: very smart birds.  Nice views also of a Water Rail from mallard hide but that might not be in Cere!
