Thursday 21st
My first of
the year this evening around 18.00 - calling in the woods north of the river
just beyond College Farm - not far along the railway track.
This morning's
BBS visit (Ystrad Aeron) was a trifle disappointing in that even Chiffchaffs
were surprisingly very thin on the ground, if not the trees. Four Blackcaps -
average - but a Garden Warbler was the earliest I have had on this square.
Perhaps the 8 degrees C didn't help, although it did get to 10 by the time I
finished.
