A Med Gull on College Rocks this morning was in 2w plumage, just coming into 2s. Nearby was a Whimbrel. Over at Castle Point all I could find were two Shags and a Turnstone.
Ewan then joined me and we were entertained by two Bottle-nosed Dolphins working their way south close inshore. Then Ewan picked up a north bound Dunlin.
Small numbers of Gannets, Manx Shearwaters and Kittiwakes were well offshore and seven Common Scoters went north. Ewan then left but despite my best efforts all I could add was another two Turnstones.
