A blustery but enjoyable two hour cetacean survey from Birds Rock look-out this morning, where one harbour porpoise was seen.
Bird highlights included a peregrine, 2 fulmar, 4 gannets and
a pair of acrobatic chough. There were a few auks on the sea, plus a raven,
smart male stonechat, and my first swallow of the year.
Chiff chaff have been singing in Alltlwyd woods (between
Llanon, and Llanrhystud) since Sunday 19th, and I heard my first Willow Warbler
yesterday in the grounds of Plas Gwyn residential home - earlier than
usual.
