As I was in Tre'r ddol today putting my exhibition up in the Clettwr cafe I thought I might as well walk down to the estuary. Fortunately the wind was much lighter than yesterday when it was unbearable.
I had a brief sighting of a kingfisher along the ditch to the west of the
river not far from the ford, and a ringtail harrier to the east of the
river.
Then I heard some geese fly over which I thought at first might have been
the whitefronts. First there were eleven then another fourty (total 51) which
put paid to my original theory. I'm almost certain they were pink-feets, and I
think these record shots are pretty conclusive.

For those of you not familiar with Jerry's photography, why not go along to the Cletwr Cafe where his exhibition Bird/land is on display until 18th March. The food is pretty good too,
