A lot of birds at the coast, perhaps pushed back there again by the cold. Some very rough estimates inc; 900 Golden Plovers, 300 Lapwings, 800 BH Gulls, 100 Common Gulls. Nine species of wader altogether inc 34 Turnstones but no sign of the dozen Grey Plovers that were present last week. Also, a Chough.
Great White Egrets were present at Ystrad Caron and Pont Gogoyan with 7 Little Grebes at Pant Pool.
