Last evening there was at least one nightjar churring in the willow/bog myrtle scrub at the Taliesin end of Cors Fochno NNR, just beside the coastal path.
Perhaps more interestingly, there were two barn owls (probably a pair)
hunting together over the cattle/sheep grazed fields nearby. They appeared to
show interest in some semi-abandoned farm buildings.
A barn owl has also recently been reported roosting in outhouses on the
south side of Talybont and hunting near the road to Aberystwyth.
Don't see them for years, then they return. Good news!
