Cors Caron

A very pleasant morning with Paul Bennett, despite the cool, breezy and mostly overcast weather, complete with spells of light rain.

After a calling Cuckoo near the car park, we started at Maesllyn: six Tufted Ducks, two Canadas and three Greylags and a pair of Coots with three young.

Nearby were the first of our warblers; Whitethroat and Garden Warbler.  Later we added Blackcap,  Chiffchaff, Willow, Sedge and a Grasshopper Warbler, surprisingly seen, not heard. Also from the boardwalk at least three Whinchats and a constantly bubbling Curlew which treated us to a couple of flypasts.

From the hide, the pair of Gadwall still present  along with two Teal  a few Mallard, Redshank  Little Egret and a couple of Swifts.

Just a couple of distant glimpses of Hobby.  Too early in the day and the weather didn't help.
