I wouldn't normally head to Llanrhystud at lunchtime on August bank holiday but it was a bit gloomy inland. And so my wife and I took a picnic and strolled down the beach. Still 60 Ringed Plovers about, plus a Sandwich Tern, Little Egret, Whinchat and 57 Med Gulls going south. Most interesting bird was a Kingfisher which was on the shoreline under the limekilns.
