My first visit to Ynyslas for quite a while on the rising tide this morning. Not a lot to report really, 38 whimbrel, 2 bar-tailed godwit, 1 ringed plover and probably about 50 dunlin. Perhaps the water was too high.
Yesterday I heard a stonechat between IBERS and the crossroads on the A4159
- an unusual location, I thought.
I've been wondering how to summarise my stock dove records over the last
few weeks as I searched for red kites; Possibly like this -
"Not uncommon in the Penrhyncoch/Bontgoch/Penbontrhydybeddau area, with
singles and pairs seen in various locations, and birds calling from suitable
nesting habitat."
