Seeing the recent subject on starling roost,I went to try to find this roost for myself on the 17/02 this year .
After some time i saw just a few hundred they soon moved on as others joined them so i followed as best
i could it was a very twisty road but eventualy i found a place to stop and there they were in the trees.
after a while their must have been thousands and they just kept coming the trees looked as if they were
in full leaf ,i would say their was 50.000 .the grid ref is SN455530.
