On a bright but rather chilly day at Cors Caron it was good to see a Sand Martin. Also, a flock of 16 Lapwings at the northern end and 13 Curlews by Pont Einion.
Back at Aberystwyth, the Starling roost display by the pier was quite awesome. One densely-packed flock hurtled towards us and how they missed the railings and us gathered there was amazing and the noise of their wings was quite incredible. Three times a Peregrine made attacking runs but went away empty taloned.
45 Wigeon still on Maesllyn. Two Whooper Swans linger up here at Trisant.
