treecreeper

The bird arrives below the nest hole and creeps up carrying bits of dried grass/stems and moss off the shed roof. The actual nest is to the right inside. Before exiting it peers out cautiously then flies out to the left so fast I couldn't get it on camera!
I'm hoping to use a dental mirror to check on it and fill in a nest record card.
The BTO are very keen to get cards for open nests especially song thrushes so if you have common (!)birds nesting in your garden and want to help go to their web-site. I have a small stock of spare cards if you want to see what it entails.
