At Ynyslas this morning I saw my first House Martin of the year. There were also increased numbers of Swallows and the Merlin seen yesterday was there again. Other birds seen - 15 or 16 Golden Plover, 100 or so Ringed Plover, 2 Sandwich Terns and 15 or 20 Manx Shearwaters.
As I drove towards Borth I noticed a couple of Wheatears on the golf course. I saw 4 or 5 more as I walked the path from Animalarium along the Leri plus more and more Swallows, 7 Redshank, a Reed Bunting and a fine Peregrine flew past heading up-river.
