Birds at Ynys-hir this morning

This morning at Ynys-hir, thanks to Caroline I saw my first Pied Flycatcher of the year. I went on to see my first 4 Redstarts and 3 Tree Pipits. The pipits were doing their wonderful "parachuting" display. And a Willow Warbler pretending to be a flycatcher left its perch on a nearby tree, flew towards me at head height and turned just a couple of meters in front of me before returning to where it had come from. Blackcaps, Willow Warblers and Chiffchaff were singing at several spots. GS Woodpeckers were drumming and a few Small Tortoiseshell Butterflies fluttered by.
