Birds at Ynyslas + Ospreys at Cors Dyfi

It was a pleasure to be at Ynyslas this morning in glorious sunshine. The birds were good and there was quite a gathering of birders watching them. A Merlin sat in full view for 20 minutes or so, I counted 12 Whimbrel and 8 Sandwich Terns landed briefly before continuing up-stream towards the Leri. There were also 25-30 Golden Plover and mixed flocks of Ringed Plover and Dunlin numbering around 150 in total. Before coming home I called in at The Dyfi Osprey Project where I was lucky enough to see 2 Ospreys circling in the sky and drifting down towards the estuary. A brilliant morning, wonder what this afternoon will be like.................
