Pen Dinas

John, Buster and me went for a walk at the foot of Pen Dinas this afternoon. We saw 6 Wheatears in the fields either side of the old railway line. In the mixture of scrub and small trees we noted a few Willow Warbler and Chiffchaff and had splendid views of a singing male Blackcap. A pair of Goosander passed by and a Peregrine flew over. Near the stables we stopped to enjoy the chocolate-box scene of a proud mare showing off her gorgeous new foal in the warm sunshine.
