WHOOPER SWANS, PIED FLYCATCHER, PURPLE SANDPIPERS and GREAT GREY SHRIKE

Two Whooper Swans are still up here at Trisant. Watched my first Willow Warbler singing away by Llyn Frongoch. Later, close to Nanteos Lake, there was a Pied Flycatcher. Five Purple Sandpipers were at Aberystwyth (11 yesterday). Finally, and thanks to Marc Hughes, we went to Cross Inn forest for a good view of the Great Grey Shrike. Marc also saw 3 Crossbills and Lesser Redpolls there.
Latest news from Marc: late pm passage of 100+ Swallows, 20+ Sand Martins and 2 House Martins at Morfa Bychan.
