Castle Point, Aberystwyth 11am - midday, Sunday 12 Sept 2010.
As the tide started to go out, a cormorant flew past. 6 turnstones were
waiting in the sand plus some Black-headed gulls, one
in the plumage of the 1st winter. About 12 Ringed Plovers foraged, together
with 1 Dunlin (a similar group was on College Rocks a few days ago). 2
turnstones joined them to turn seaweed over, while the other turnstones
disappeared.
