PURPLE SANDPIPERS at BORTH

Yesterday Chris Bird noticed 8, possibly 9 Purple Sandpipers on the rocks beneath the cliff at Upper Borth. Small numbers have been seen there during past winters and it may be that this is a separate group to the ones at Aberystwyth. 8 is a high number for Borth and it would be an odd time for passage birds, so Chris wondered if anyone saw Purps at Aberystwyth yesterday.
