SMEW
Bob and I were very fortunate this morning. Ynyslas Turn had produced only very distant views of a large number of Scoters and a few Red-throated Divers. Cors Fochno looked quiet except for a prominently perched Merlin. Before heading for home we went for a quick look over the estuary at Ynyslas. Just upstream of the mouth of the Leri were two redhead Smew, the first in Ceredigion for both of us and in fact the first in the County for several years.
