Plas Gogerddan

I have just returned from a very pleasant walk in Plas Gogerddan where there
is plenty of spring activity. There were at least eight singing chiffchaffs and
plenty of singing wrens. I saw a mistle thrush with a beak full of nesting
material and a great tit apparently checking out a suitable nesting hole
before anyone else got to it.

Most surprising though were the two house martins I saw shoot by as I was
watching fieldfares in the fields above the woods. It was a blink and you'll
miss it moment but I don't think I was mistaken. Perhaps someone else has seen
them in that area today?
