Ringed Cormorant

Yesterday I received a letter from the BTO. The letter, sent as a result of a report I had forwarded after spotting a ringed cormorant, contained the following information -

The bird was ringed by Blackburn, Leighton & Moores (presumably the names of the actual ringers) as a nestling, sex unknown on 14th May 2008 at Abberton Reservoir near Colchester, Essex.
It was found (seen) on December 9th at Ynyslas by Roy Bamford and me, 939 days after it was ringed and 344 km from the ringing site!
