Spotted Flycatcher - Lower Rheidol Valley

Washing up the supper dishes can be really pleasurable! This was the case on Thursday evening when I spotted one of the first flycatchers to return.Hopefully this means another late summer of delight watching the next generation having their lessons in flycatching.
The kite family are still patiently waiting their offspring and Mum is getting higher in the nest.Meanwhile the family of Mallard are discreetly feeding in the shallows. Only six remain, but that's more than enough work for Mum.There will be nothing discreet about the sounds coming from the rock concert tonight ,I hope the wild life have some ear protection.I certainly have!
Great news too about the dipper family up stream.
