Llanerchaeron on Sunday

The river by the car park had a dipper and two grey wagtails. Around the lake
there were spotted flycatchers and a family of blackcaps and on the lake there
were moorhens and a little grebe family of two adults and four tiny chicks.

The swallows seem to be doing well around the farmyard with at least ten
active nests in the dairy and a few more in other buildings and fledglings
lining the gutters waiting to be fed.

In the gardens we were very pleased to see a humming bird hawk moth- the first
this year for us- feeding on the red valerian.
