A bit more variety off the turn this morning with a dark phase arctic skua south just off-shore harrying sandwich terns of which there were some 40 odd with good numbers of juveniles. Manx shearwater numbers were rather low but looking south there were thousands swarming off what seemed to be Wallog with around 60 gannets diving there too; small groups of manxies slowly headed north off the turn but not in the numbers I saw last week. 34 common scoter flew north in the 2 hours I was there with a fulmar south and a juv. great crested grebe on the sea.
Later, at Glandwr there was no sign of the pectoral sandpiper that was present last Saturday but a green sandpiper and 5 common sandpiper were feeding on the Leri.
