3 Whooper Swans were on Bwlchcryws pond, just beyond the end of my lane today.
At RSPB Ynys-hir from Domen Las hide this afternoon good views of a female Hen Harrier, briefly joined by a male which eventually flew across the river into Ceredigion. The saltings opposite this hide seem to be a very popular spot for Hen Harriers at present. Bob and I watched one the other day catch 3 small rodents in a fairly short space of time and a couple of Kestrels also hunt there.
Several of the wintering Barnacle Geese were also to be seen. Their numbers have now reached a record high for the Dyfi.
