Bob, Harry and I met on the front at Aberystwyth and began the morning with 14 Purple Sandpipers on the prom wall.
Then off to Aberaeron where a period of sea-watching produced a surprising 15 Gannets, a Fulmar and some Common Scoters and Kittewakes.
At New Quay we watched 10 more Gannets flying south and a Mediterranean Gull before breaking for the usual gourmet lunch at The Mariner. Another session of sea-watching there gave us good views of 3 Great Northern Divers, a Great Skua and a very late Manx Shearwater, all moving south. Also more Scoters and Kittewakes and another Gannet.
Back at Aberystwyth I watched a great performance by the Starlings and a brief appearance of a raiding Sparrowhawk.
