In search of birds to photograph in the glorious afternoon sunlight, I walked round the Aberystwyth Golf Course and back through Parc Natur Penglais, but only managed a shot of a magpie. On arriving back home in Dan-y-Coed, I found a Jay, a Great Spotted Woodpecker and two Redwings (plus numerous Blue Tits and Great Tits) all in the same tree, between the housing estate and the grounds of Plas Penglais. A good illustration of the value of urban woodlands.
