The late Wheatear was still at Ynyslas Turn car park this morning but disappeared before Bob turned up ( but not before Roy Bamford almost ran over it !).
Bob and I then went up to the Dyfi at Ynyslas to see if yesterday's Brent Geese were still there.
12 were near the mouth of the Leri, all light-bellied birds.
At first glance it looked as if they were a mixture of dark and light-bellied but then we realised that there were family groups there, the young birds lacking the really very pale bellies, something we had not appreciated before.
One of the adults had large white leg rings but the birds were far too far away for any details to be seen.
