Ynys Las today, a horrible injury to this black headed gull...how could it have happened?
After making sure John Val wasn't looking I lobbed it a piece of stale Yule log(2 for 1'bargain')but although it was the closest gull it withdrew as others flew in, clearly inhibited by its disability.
20 ringed plover by the island and several hundred goldies flying to the point at intervals from the fields along the Clettwr. 9 grey plover with a few dunlin and a couple of knot, curlew and a small group of Brents flying downriver.
